Anger Is Not Necessarily Wrong
When there is a public display of anger, we tend to be somewhat embarrassed and uncomfortable. Inherent within that reaction is an assumption that anger is wrong. Ephesians 4 says “Be angry and yet do not sin.” This means there are times it is okay to be angry. Part of spiritual maturity is learning when to be angry and how to be angry without sinning. Exodus 32 illustrates a scenario where anger was justified. The Israelites were worshipping a golden calf mere weeks after they had promised not to do so, and Moses rightly got very angry.
