Many people, including many Christians, are repulsed at the mention of the wrath of God. They also have difficulty believing that God would send people to an eternity in a lake of fire. The problem is they are making their belief about God conform to what they want God to be, rather than making their concept of God conform to the truth about God. Exodus 17 tells us about God’s wrath against the Amalekites. This teaches us that God’s wrath is real.
