Humans are susceptible to being swayed and influenced by the people around us. Our Creator has always warned His followers not to follow the behavior of ungodly people. In Exodus 34 we see that Yahweh warned the Israelites not to worship the Canaanite idols. Likewise, we Christians in the 21st century must not be conformed to the world. While the warnings are similar, there is a key difference. The Israelites had to resist tangible idols made out of wood and stone. Colossians 3:5 tells us we need to resist intangible idols such as immorality, lust, and greed. Learn more …
